That is how much people waste on gym memberships each year by signing up and then not going.
I've been there myself, signing up for health clubs and gyms and not going after a couple of months but being stuck in a years contract with them.
Apparently of the people who join a gym in the new year 21% will have stopped going by February.
The number is actually higher for women.
Of those that continue to go the average attendance per week is 0.8 times.
I'll gloss over the fact i believe gym membership is a waste of time for most women who want to get results.
And say, if you have joined a gym in January then you have made a commitment to yourself.
You have committed to dropping a few lbs, improving your health, improving your quality of life.
You can't jack it in and stop going now. At least not whilst you are still in a contract with them!
Take advantage of the equipment at the gym and dedicate 30-40 minutes 2 or 3 times a week to improving yourself.
It isn't easy and it can be intimidating. I totally get that. In fact it's why a lot of women prefer to come to my small group training instead of joining a gym. That and they get better results.
But that's by the by. You are committed now.
In a good way.
You have an amazing opportunity to change not only your life but the life of your family.
Imagine how much fun the kids will have with you if you can play games with them without getting out of breath. And imagine what hubby will be thinking when his wife blossoms into a confident, slim, sexy and sassy lady!
Actually lets not imagine that, it's before the watershed...
So if you have joined a gym this January please keep going. You don't have to go every day, just a couple of times a week would be grand.
