This month we are working through our Legs, Bums and Tums workout.
It focuses on building a nice bum whilst tightening the stomach, shrinking the waist.
And judging by how sore some peoples bums were over the last week or so it’s working a treat!
Some people are blessed with a great bum.
Others, not so much.
But like anything, you can build a great arse if you know what you’re doing.
I am asked a lot about the best exercises for building a great bum and so I figured I’d kill two birds with one stone and let you know what you should be doing if you want to focus on that.
There are 2 or 3 that I like to use.
1. 1 leg lying hip raises
These are probably the best exercise out there to build your arse bar none.
If you do them properly then they use the gluteus maximus (fancy name for your arse cheeks ) a lot and really help to shape them.
Primarily a back exercise but there is a little tweak you can do to make them really good at working your arse.
When you are in the top position squeeze your bum cheeks together and push your hips forward.
Yes, really. This engages your bum muscles, making them work even harder as part of the move.
3. Step Ups
These work all of your leg and bum muscles really but because they are what we call a complex move they help make your bum work in synch with other surrounding muscles which helps give more of a rounded appearance.
So if you want to build yourself a nice shapely bum then you should include those 3 exercises.
